We've worked with extraordinary people who are highly capable in multiple fields. They are hyper-independent, have high expectations of themselves, self-aware, reflective, neurodivergent, and have always known that they were capable of much more despite all they've achieved. There's no challenge that they haven't been able to overcome or do ... until their lives went kablooey.
Challenges: life-threatening illnesses, professional disruptions, identity challenges, relational ruptures, and more.
They reached the point where they could not solve what they were facing alone. They understood the gravity of the moment, knew a major shift was happening and needed support and constructive challenge from us.
I was curious about how Frida would be different from coaching. I was surprised by how energizing the process was, and how much it helped me reimagine my desires for the future. Each step was valuable in its own way. The process encourages looking at yourself as a whole person as a centering principle which is incredibly refreshing. I highly recommend the program for anyone who is going through a major life transition.
I was surprised at the process because I've never gone through a structured one like this before. The mirroring by people who have known me deeply was a weird experience. I kind of knew most of the stuff, but hearing it reflected made it more real. The biggest thing that has changed would be that I feel like a co-creator of my experience. At the beginning, I was in a dark tunnel and I could sense the light somewhere in the future, but old stuff clouded my perception. The qualitative difference now is I feel more intimacy with life and the present moment. I feel more me.
Project Frida grew out of our wild curiosity.
We were highly successful in the conventional sense (e.g., Stanford, d.school, tech startups, PhD). Then, our lives no longer felt identifying.
